Below is a picture of the rear fluid and the screen before I pulled the original unit to
install the Ebay donor. I pulled as much fluid out before I started. This fluid was about
6-8 months old. The fluid from the front came out looking new!
The motor plugs into the pump and the pump fits into the well shown above.
Again the front pump looked like new and the rear pump is shown above.

You can click these two to enlarge.

Below shows the actual impeller section of the pump. The small cylinders ride
in a carrier around an elliptical bore. The wear is evident on the carrier and
the machined surface. At the red arrows you can see wear on the carrier and
cylinders and wear on the non moving part of the pump, caused by flow of the
contaminated fluid.
The only thing I could find that looked unusual was the obvious
dirt and contaminated fluid throughout the rear circuit and extreme
wear on the pump/impellars for the rear. I replaced these with a
motor and pump from the donor unit. I VERY carefully cleaned and
reassembled everything and back into the bike it went. So far it
was a success! No obvious leaks and all is functioning as normal.
I'll put a couple of more tanks of gas through it then pull the tank
and check for leaks again and re-bleed.
